Bantis 0.1.0-rc.2

The second release candidate. If you have rc.1, this is the one it updates itself to.

New

  • An expired sign-in no longer loses your message. Before sending, Bantis checks that the agent is still signed in (Claude Code, Pi, and Codex and Cursor when they say so). If it isn’t, your message waits under a card where you can sign in right there, or hand it to the next agent in your order. Bantis also tells you before you type, with a line above the composer.
  • The chat reads in a column. On a wide screen, messages sit in a comfortable centered column, and the floating panel bar never covers them.

Fixed

  • A turn the agent couldn’t run (an expired login, for one) used to end with no answer and no error. It now says what happened.
  • Error cards drop the thick coloured edge for a softer tint.

Bantis 0.1.0-rc.1

The first release candidate of Bantis: a Mac app that runs your coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot and Pi) and keeps your task going when one of them hits its limit.

What’s in it

  • Failover with your context. When an agent runs out of credits mid-task, Bantis hands the task to the next agent in your order, with what’s done and what was decided. You don’t explain it again.
  • A workspace per task. Each task gets its own git worktree and branch. Review the diff, commit, open the PR, follow its checks and merge, without leaving the app.
  • Memory that carries over. Every message is kept on your Mac, condensed into checkpoints the next agent reads first, and workspaces know what the others are doing.
  • The same tools in every agent. MCP servers you set up in one agent go to the others.
  • Updates itself. Bantis checks for new versions and tells you when one is ready to install.

Good to know

  • This is a release candidate, for testing the install and the update before 0.1.0.
  • Bantis runs each agent’s own CLI with your own sign-in, and sends nothing about you anywhere.
